Biography:
Born to a small village around the middle of the dark ages Sigmund was taken to the villages guardian dragon to receive its blessing as was the ritual for all newborn children. Some were given a special mark which granted them good fortune in life, but for a select few, they were given the highest honor and were blessed with the blood of the dragon, these children came to be called Dragonborn. Sigmund, found to have a strong pure heart was granted the blood of the dragon. Around the same time the kings son Earnon was also taken before their guardian dragon, but the dragon sensed evil in the child's heart, and refused the bless the child. The king was a good man and was loved by all his people, also he he held the dragons and their chosen in a high regard, so when the dragon denied his son its blessing the king did not argue and graciously took his child back to the castle.
Like all Dragonborn he was given the opportunity to join the Sacred Order Of The Dragon, and become one of the legendary Dragon Knights. No parent ever refused to send their child off because it was a great honor to become one of the Order. So he was sent of the orders castle to be trained in the use of his Dragonborn abilities. He was taught to wield a sword and tap into his dragon power he was given a special set of crimson armor, the color of his patriarch dragon and a magic sword imbued with the fire element of the red dragon. As the years passed both Earnon and Sigmund were teenagers, and the king was on his death bed. The king confessed to Earnon what happened the day he was born so long ago, this angered him greatly. So one night, he snuck into the kings chambers and killed his father. Earnon was no fool however, he framed the murder on the Dragon Knights. The people could not believe it at first, but when he presented a document that he had forged the kings signature upon claiming the the Dragons and their chosen were planning to overthrow him and take power the peoples love for their once honored Dragon Knights soon Faded.
Earnon passed a law that all Dragonborn were to be brought before the king and tried for treason, and the Dragons were to be hunted down and killed. But this was no easy task, so the Slayers were born. Soldiers trained in magics and given weapons which were specifically made to kill any dragon or dragonborn. Their blades were enchanted to stop the regeneration of their cells and any wound from what they deemed Dragon-bane weapons would never fully heal. Airships were built with cannons, massive harpoon guns, and cannons that shot large nets to snare Dragons. With the birth of the airship and the overwhelming number of Slayers the Dragons and the Dragonborns numbers began to dwindle. Eventually, almost all the dragons were killed, and the ones that weren't gave up on humans saddened by the hatred and jealous. They fled back to their kingdom in the sky never to return. Leaving their chosen to fend for themselves. Eventually the Dragon Knights went into hiding, leaving their castle. This angered the king, so he placed a bounty, anybody with knowledge about a Dragonborn was to be paid 2000 gold pieces, a small fortune. The greed of man turned all but the most loyal against their once honored Dragon Knights. Sigmund returned to his family in the village he was raised. But it wasn't long before one of the villagers turned him into the Slayers for the reward. They came for him late at night when him and his family were sleeping. He was waken but the sound of his mother screaming and he leaped up from his bed and peeked out the front door only to see his father kneeling on the ground, a sword piercing his chest and his mother laying next to him lifeless on the ground. Sigmund, outraged he quickly put on his suit of armor as the slayers tore the house apart looking for him. He burst from his room sword drawn and killed all the slayers in his house. The commander asked what all the ruckus inside the house was, but the only response he got was a blood stained Sigmund stepping from the door a look of rage on his face. He rushed the commander but was still young and not skilled enough, the Slayer Commander deflected Sigmund's attack and cut him across his left eye, a wound that would never heal. Realizing he was outmatched he fled, and soon received a message from the man who trained him calling him back to the orders castle.
The Dragon Knights were tired of running and hiding like cowards, they were a proud race and decided that they would fight back. They gathered back at their castle where they were going to have their last stand, it didn't take long for the king and his Slayers to find out and every Slayer in the land got into their massive airships and made their way to the Order Of The Dragons Castle. The Dragon Knights met them on the battle field, Sigmund was one of them. Still just a child in the order he was scared, looking out at the vast number of the Slayers and their massive airships. With a massive roar from the Elder of their order the ground forces charged. And the Commanders, who had mastered control of their dragon blood and unlocked their dragon-morph ability took to the skies against their airships. The battle raged on, no matter how many Slayers the Knights killed they kept coming like a hoard. their commanders were slain by the airships which then turned their fire to the ground forces killing Slayer and Dragon Knight alike. Sigmund seeing this panicked, and in that panic he fled the field leaving his comrades to die. The knights hadn't stood a chance they were wiped out, only Sigmund, who had acted in fear was left alive. He became a wanderer, keeping his heritage a secret. Eventually he heard whispers about a man by the name of Master Merlin. He had heard the he was a friend to the dragons so Sigmund set out to look for him.
Eventually his search led him to a small cottage hidden in a far corner of the dark forest. Walking up to the door he knocked and was greeted by an old man who asked what Sigmund was doing so far into the forest. Sigmund began to relay the events that had happened and eventually Merlin invited him in where Sigmund continued the telling of the story. When he had finished he asked if this man was indeed Master Merlin and if he was could he help him. Merlin agreed and began to train the boy further in the use of dragon magic and swordplay. But it was not to last, eventually the Slayers got wind that their was a Dragon Knight that had fled the battle and survived the massacre. They were relentless in their search eventually making their way to Merlin's cottage. One night Merlin woke Sigmund and told him of the Slayers that were on their way, Merlin knew there was only one way for Sigmund to truly be safe from the wrath of the King and his Slayers. So, Merlin created a portal and told Sigmund that it was the only way he would survive, he also gave him two parting gifts. Merlin gave Sigmund his magic talisman and the legendary dragons horn. He told him of their uses and hurried him through the portal not telling him where he was going closing it behind him. Now Sigmund finds himself being transported to places unknown, where will he end up.....
